Woo Hoo - am on holiday

Have arrived in Torquay for my holibobs. We are staying for two weeks and as usual always add a night on and start with a stay with Dave & Jackie Rowen in Abberley Guest House in Babbacombe. They always make us feel so welcome and are not your typical Guest House.

It is like coming to visit a member of the family, most guest houses I have stayed in previously give you your key upon arrival and cant wait to get rid of you after telling you what you can and cant do. With Dave and Jackie it is a totally different experience, when you arrive you are taken into the lounge and offered tea or coffee before getting your key (and after a long drive - it is great to have a break before unpacking the car).

The rooms are bright and airy and so clean you can eat your dinner off the floor!!!!! You can have breakfast at whatever time you like (before 9.30 am) and the breakfast will set you up for the day - grapefruit, juices, cereal and a full english - ALL INCLUDED IN THE PRICE.

If you want to have a look, their website address is www.abberleyguesthouse.co.uk but if you want to book give them a ring first as the prices are a little dearer on line to cover their online admin costs.

Hope to be going back again in September for another little break. Will post up some cards in the next few days - promise!!!

Really crap at blogging

Ok - have been really crap at this. Have decided that it is because I dont know what I am doing. Am going to learn how to do this properly and try and emulate all the other gorgeous blogs I keep reading and salivating over.

THIS IS THE START OF MY NEW BLOGGING LIFE - I cant promise to put something on every day but am going to try for at least once a week.

To those of you who have left me "treats" on your blogs - thank you so much but I dont know how to get them (how bad am I - any idiots guides welcome lol)

On the health side, am feeling a bit better and its only 3 weeks to my holibobs.

Bev's Blog Candy

Not been doing much lately except visiting other people's blogs. See my sidebar for some fab candy that Bev is giving away, it is her first blogoversary and she has over 630 followers - how fab is that. Have only been able to do the link in the sidebar following excellent instructions from Clare (Threadbare) who saves my papercrafting life regularly so THANK YOU CLARE!!!!!

Am busy making cards at the minute so will blog off and see you soon.

High Chair

Made this for the Head Waiter in our favourite restaurant. He loved it and said his wife still had it on their mantlepiece 2 weeks after I have given it to them. Think they like it!!!!!! Thanks to ladies on UKS for template and making me look talented.
Kerry over at http://threecloversdesigns.blogspot.com has some fabulous blog candy up for grabs. Ends March 17 so hurry over and grab some.

Some of my Christmas cards

As I can't make any elaborate cards at the moment, I am going for simple and hopefully elegant. A friend Hetty makes some of the most fab toppers available on download and really ensured my christmas cards were something special.

I have attached some that I did for my uncle to send to his family and friends.

Enjoy
